Our Ever Well Wisher/ Nectarian Hari Katha
OUR EVER WELL WISHER. The lecture was given by Sripad Bhaktivedanta Vana Maharaj, 2015.02.01. England, London.
Conditioned souls are suffering in this material world. Lord Krishna is thinking: how these conditioned souls, baddha jivas, will be delivered from this material world? Krishna param dayalu – He is so merciful and wonderful. He is thinking: "All the living entities are like My sons and daughters." For this regard shastra explains: Lord is our ever well-wisher.
Param-pita, param-purusha, Bhagavan. Lord has so much love and affection with the conditioned soul. We cannot believe how much He has love and affection with us. We are not crying for Him, we are not remembering Him, but Lord is crying for us. Lord is always remembering us: "Hey, My living entities, My sons and daughters, what are you doing? Please come back!" But conditioned souls, they did not. They don't listen to Lord's sweet advice. Wondering in a cycle of repeated birth and death. All we are in the jail of maya, maya karagar. Try to understand – this material world is like a jail. All we are prisoners. And Maya devi – she controls us with her three activities. They are called: sattva, raja and tama guna. Trigunatmika maya. Very difficult to conquer maya. In Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Krishna says:
daivi hy esa guna-mayi
mama maya duratyaya
mam eva ye prapadyante
mayam etam taranti te
Krishna says: "One who completely surrenders to Me, then he can be delivered from the ocean of the material existence. Because My daivi maya – she is very powerful."
Especially, she controls all the living entities: bounded souls, baddha jivas, with her three activities which are called sattva, raja and tama gunas. Understand? Sattva, raja, tama gunas. She controls us. And we are all suffering three modes of Maya.
Lord is thinking: "How they will be delivered from this material world?" Then again He is thinking: "I have to come to this material world, and perform My lila. If they will listen to My lila katha, if they will serve My lila katha, serve to Me, anyhow they will return back to My abode."
manusam deham asthitah
In Shrimad Bhagavatam Shukadeva Gosvamipada quoted this verse. Lord descended from Goloka Vrindavana with His own parikaras, associates, and performed sweet lila. If you will listen to this lila-katha, then all your unwanted things, anarthas, will be destroyed. Anartha mukta. Then you [will] attain the Lord.
srnvatam sva-kathah krsnah
Shrimad Bhagavatam gives evidence: listen Krishna lila katha, then you will be free from all kinds of anarthas.
